More about Dr. Forman
Born in Seattle, Washington, Dr. Forman’s family moved to Long Beach, California in 1964. He was an All-American swimmer at Long Beach Woodrow Wilson High School in 1978. He was a California State lifeguard for Huntington Beach from 1978-1980. He graduated from UCLA in 1982 and received his M.D. degree at UCLA in 1986 (Go Bruins!). He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Columbia University in New York City in 1991 and was named resident of the year.
Dr. Forman participated in a foot and ankle fellowship with the Ballerina Doctor for the New York City Ballet (Beautiful People, Ugly Feet), followed by a Sports Medicine fellowship from 1991-1992. Dr. Forman started his private practice in Newport Beach, California in 1992 and has been a full-time treating physician ever since. Dr. Forman states the best part of being an orthopedic surgeon is that he gets to provide care and treatment daily, which gets patients back to the activities they love to do. In his free time, he enjoys golf (when he gets a “birdie”, not so much when he gets a “double bogey”). He enjoys swimming for fitness because it allows him to be more competitive with his younger brother, Todd.
