dr_weinsteinDr. Michael Weinstein is a nationally recognized specialist in the diagnosis and treatment of spinal disorders. He is recognized as a leader in the developmental and usage of advanced technology that benefits his patients with spinal problems.

Dr Michael Weinstein has focused on providing uncompromising, orthopaedic care, satisfying his patients and maintaining an excellent reputation in the community he serves.

Dr. Weinstein was born and raised in Pennsylvania and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Pittsburgh, summa cum laude in 1976 with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. After completing his internship in general surgery at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh, he continued with a residency in orthopaedic surgery at the Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, New York, which he completed in 1985. He achieved fellowship status in spinal surgery in 1986 at the internationally respected Wiltse Spinal Clinic in Long Beach, California.

Dr. Weinstein has been in private practice in Newport Beach since 1987. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, North American Spine Society, American Back Society and the International Arthroscopic Society. He has published numerous articles and research papers in the area of spinal disorders. He has presented his research to his orthopaedic surgeon colleagues at national and international symposiums. He has received awards from the North American Spine Society for his production of videotapes instructing his colleagues in the area of spinal surgery.
